Dumb 5.3 Question Dumb Question. When my 5.3 got delivered last fall, I noticed that the intake got banged around a bit. Turns out, the Retention clips for the MAP Sensor got snapped off and the sensor got busted.
I found sensors no problem, but cant seem to find the BUNG (for lack of a better term) that the sensor plugs into. It does look like a separate piece, but what do I know.
I can't seem to find an exploded diagram of the manifold...... Any ideas? I already had to replace a head, I don't want to replace the manifold unless I have to.

That bung that you are referring to is sonic welded on. It will not come off with out cutting it off.

All you need is the bracket that holds the rear of truck cover (12561510) they are about $9 on e-Bay.
Or you can just fab a piece of metal to do the same job.
