Throttle body adjustment 92mm
Throttle body adjustment 92mm I have a 2001 camaro manual trans head cam fast 92mm intake and 92mm Ptm throttle body when I adjust the throttle cable so I can have WOT it idles at 4000rpm but if I of adjust to the cable 80% of wot it idles perfect and drives good just not able to get the full benefits. I’ve tried resetting tps when set up for wot still can’t achieve 0 throttle at idle. I have asr too. What can I do ? Thanks. Mail order tune by frost

The only thing I can think of is the TB, when set at regular idle, is not opening fully. When you adjust it to open all the way, it 'shifts' the range to the upper end of the range...thus idling high. Just a guess. I'm not very familiar with drive by cable TB's, sorry can not help more.

Also make sure that you are resetting the TPS to zero after you make adjustments. Unplug the TPS and IAC and turn the key on for about 15 seconds. Then turn it off and plug it back in. That will reset the 0% throttle position and ensure the ecu is using the idle tables at idle.

This is a myth. if you cut the car off and let it sit for a few seconds, it will reset to 0%. Don't believe me? try it.

Verdad Gallardo no that’s long term fuel trims. They are talking about a throttle position sensor reset. Which happens every time you turn the key off. You can go out to you car and test this. Open the scanner. Turn key on, engine does not need to be running...key just all the way forward. Start it recording. Confirm zero % throttle. Go turn the idle screw till it reads a couple %. Cut key off. Let site for about 30 seconds. Start scanner again and see what it reads.

Thanks guys I finally got all answers helped and believe it or not carpet was one of the main problems lol. Didn’t even think about that. Adjusted cable once again reset tps for the hundredth time and it finally worked! Adjusted my carpet and now it works lol
