Default which ported TB to buy...

Name says it all. Who's got what, and what kind of results have you had. I'm not looking for the cheapest one, just the best one. If anyone had tried several and had dyno results from one to another, that would be mint.

cant go wrong with Shaner, Jantzer (sponsor), or homeporting your own. average gain from a TB is 8-12rwhp so dont expect the world.

I'm not expecting the world form a throttle body change, I was looking to see if anyone ever tested different manufacturer's ported units to see if there was any actual difference. Michael4034, send me an e-mail with a # that i can reach you at.

I hear that his stuff is good, but doesn't it take forever to get anything from there? I hear more than one story of that being the case. Regardless, when you send in a core, the one that gets sent to me, is it gonna have the elecronic **** on it, or do I have to pull mine off and put on the new one?

Boomcase- vernon cruise night, Friday nights. We have a couple guys that show with 4gen cars, one guy with some real radical stuff done. Good time. Let me know where you're at. I also try to make it to the pike every now and then and sit in dunkin donuts, fun to watch people get pulled over for being stupid. As far as racing, I've been to LVD a couple times, nothing worth sharing done due to a lack of traction, but that's solved now, of course, the grenade like rear end isn't...yet. As for street racing, only when teh situation is to my liking, which is almost never. Give me a ring sometime, have to hook up. (860) 872-4069

Back on topic, after looking at all the options, I am liking the looks of the MTI unit. Now, my question is the unit that they sell, does it come with all the electronic crap on it so it is a plug and play setup, of do I have to pull that stuff off mine and reinstall? If so, what's involved with that. Looks like swapping it out is not a big deal. Is there a gasket needed, or does it bot strait to the throttle body, I've seen one off the car, but never actually swapped on myself. Any directions out there, if the electronics have to be swapped?

You have to reuse your electronics.
everything else is provided, even hardware is polished.
as i said i have this unit an it is sweet, smooth as silk.
you actually have to get to it the pedal is so smooth.

Sounds good. It looks easy enough, I wasn't sure what there was to doing the job. looks like it just unscews. I assume that the sensor just slides off and then goes on the new unit?
