Knock sensor relocation

I am doing an LS swap and am using an LM7. I have read and seen the knock sensor relocation brackets. I would like to save $60 and
just drill and tap the block. Are their any good locations? Thanks for any info

Any unused holes on the side of the block can be used.

I went from Gen 3 to Gen 4 and purchased new harness and sensors. Passenger side was tapped... Driver side was not. I drilled and tapped... carefully... and installed sensor. There is a boss on both sides. Measure depth and thread pitch... then drill and tap. I can get pics tomorrow...
