O2 sensor relocation
O2 sensor relocation I have a 70 nova with LQ9 4l60e blackheart headers and exhaust. Passenger side O2 does not fit (hits transmission).
I saw ebay has O2 sensor 90deg adapters, have any of you guys used this before? Any issues? I'm open to any suggestions.
I would hate to butcher up my new set of headers by adding a new bung.
Please help.

That will pull the sensor out of the direct exhaust stream. I wouldn't do that for a front O2 sensor. Those are used for engine fueling feedback and should be in exhaust stream.
I don't think it would be a problem with rear O2 sensors. It's actually a trick people do to fool emissions monitoring systems into thinking the exhaust is cleaner than it is when cats are removed. That gives you a sense how much it effects O2 readings when you pull the sensor out of the exhaust stream.

I have a 1971 Camaro with a LQ9 / 4l60e swap using $th gen Pace Setter headers. The O2 bung positioned the sensor where it would contact the trans so I tweaked (bent) the header/collector away from the transmission enough for clearance by using a steel bar into the collector and prying .
