Default Using later model (2008+ corvette?) MAP sensor on L33 'clip on style' MAP?

Hi guys,

Sorry, another basic question. I am fabricating an intake elbow for my TB for clearance issues, and I would like to incorporate the later style MAP sensor that has a screw hold down (especially since I shaved the truck L33 intake and have no provisions for the original clip on style MAP).
Any issues in swapping one out for the other? I would be grabbing your basic 2008-2013 Corvette one.
Thanks!

Are there any ECU changes that need to be made if you swap sensors? For some reason that thought is coming to my mind. A lot of guys use the clip on one, and just fab brackets to hold it in place.

Unsure, that's why I am coming to you guys. ECU changes aren't a problem, as long as they are 'relatively' simple. The only ECU change I could think of, would be if the tables for each sensor are different (I assume it's a pressure vs. voltage thing) but not sure why they would be different.

I prefer to drill and tap intakes, then remote mount the MAP sensor, just because too many intakes will not hold a MAP in place under FI. This idea can easily work even without FI.

Thanks. I know what you are saying. I however had to fabricate an aluminum elbow to get my throttle body 90 degrees anyways, so I made a provision for the later (2010 Camaro?) MAP sensor. Anyone know if the table needs to be modified to use it? The internets have many stories of people saying it runs like crap with the newer MAP, but other sites say the voltages are basically the same?

Thanks!

Hey guys, just before I go and do something stupid here, thought I'd check in. Looking at the LT1swap pinout guides, looks like the L99 and LS3 Map sensor pinouts have the Voltage and Reference on Pins 1 and 2, where as the Gen 3 had the Voltage and reference on pins 1 and 3. Meaning I should swap a few pins around. This ring a bell for anyone? I assume the part # I purchased (From a 2010 Camaro) isn't supercharged.

Thanks!

Update: Just in case anyone is searching the internets in the future and happens to want to do this, yes, you have to do some pin swapping, as well as the offset has to be changed in the PCM.
