Magnaflow Sucks. Get a B&B, Corsa or GMMG.

Sucks for lowly mustangs for sure all too common. F-bodies sound **** with Magnaflow or Hooker. Don't know about the borla though...

I'd agree....for a budget catback Hooker is the way to go.

Otherwise Corsa, GMMG, Borla are good choices.

I've seen a few magnaflows on cars and it looks like a redneck exhaust...can't comment about the sound b/c I couldn't hear them.

But to each his own.

Hooker may be cheaper but keep in mind it's not stainless steel. There are some folks who live in snowy climates.

In the pictures I never cared for the tips and how they look on Camaros. But once I saw them in person they grew on me. Needless to say, I'm happy with the Magnaflow tips. But of course they are a "love or hate" thing.

I like the tips, stainless steel rock, and the note is very throaty, just cant figure out why the left tailpipe is angled to the side of the car slightly

I love my Magnaflow. Nice deep rumble, no drone while your cruising, and it screams at wot. I could feel the difference after it went on the car as well. Can't wait to get my headers put in!

hmm lets see:

Had an offroad Ypipe and 3 inch dynomax Ultraflo. Ran ~120-121mph through full exhaust. (123mph through cutout)*(Remember NO CATS)

This morning put on a 3.5 inch Magnaflow race muffler, mandrel 3.5 inch tailpipe and chromed slashed tip. ALSO ADDED 3 inch Magnaflow CATS last week

Went 122.61mph this afternoon at heavier weight with a 20mph HEADWIND! (gusts to 30mph)

Almost 3 mph from the muffler swap into a strong wind and that was AFTER ADDING CATS!

I am sold on the magnaflow. Also the muffler is stainless, looks fantastic and obviously performs well!

I'm running lanes true duals with magnaflow mufflers. They are ultra quiet and deep at idle.. real mellow, and have a downright mean sound at w.o.t. Super loud when you romp on it.

Peace,
Josh

I put Borla on mine 2 years ago and no regrets. I've heard others on the road and they all sounded like crap. My 02 is stock with some tuning. Work with a guy with 02 SS with flowmaster, also sounds like crap. I've even had people tell me it's the best one they've heard. Garbage? I don't think so.

so i have a stock 99 z28 - i want to open the exhaust up a little, not full out quite yet. because i am getting married and gotta save for that? so can i get away with just a magnaflow/dynomax muffler? or is catback really worth the 200-300 more?
