Another TBSS Intake Swap Thread
Another TBSS Intake Swap Thread I'm swapping over to the TBSS manifold. I've been running the original truck style manifold over the last few years and since I'm into the motor right now making a cam & head swap, I thought I might as well change out the intake manifold as well. I do have some questions though. I am currently DBC and want to stay DBC. Is there a throttle body that will bolt directly to the intake manifold without an adapter that is DBC? Also, I'm going to have to switch over to the C5 Corvette fuel filter for a return, and fuel pressure regulator. Is there a way to make the existing hard lines bolt directly to the new filter WITHOUT having to swap over to the braided line and AN fittings? I have a hydraulic (pro style) brake flaring kit that can do metric bubble flares, and all types of crazy stuff-and if there is some way to make the ends of the existing hard lines mate up-I'd like to do it that way. Otherwise, I will have to purchase all of the AN fittings (what sizes again? How many of each?) and then get some nylon braided line (I can NEVER get fittings onto the ends of braided stainless). Any other things I should be giving consideration to while doing this swap? Any other "gotchas!" I need to watch out for?
