help at Wits end
my problem is the fuel coming to the engine has air foam in the line
she will start briefly than die. have changed the wire harness, changed the computer , changed engine was 5.3 same problem
replaced fuel pump twice injectors 3 times etc
if I squirt starting fluid in intake it will run for a few seconds
put fuel pressure gauge have 57 # pressure when I blead off the fuel from the gauge its white with air
pushing on the shrader valve foamy gas comes out.
the pump is external
changed pump and put a gas line straight into the gas can........same thing starts briefly then dies
don't know where to go or what to do
It can also be because your pump is over working and cavitating the fuel. which WILL happen more often on non return systems.
If your pump is > about 200 LPH,, there's a good chance.. When the over pressure relief opens its recirculating inside the pump overheating the fuel and causing it to out-gas violently.
have tried putting a hose from the pump straight into a gas can same problem no difference
as for the pump being too big making for cavitating could be the problem
using a walbro gsl 392 pump
the problem is as soon as I start the cold engine it stops running even with the key still on start
