I recently put a fresh lm7 5.3 in my 2000 GMC Yukon. I went with the TBSS manifold, 92mm tb, corvette filter/regulator, Glens Auto cable bracket, 50lb flex injectors, flex sensor with 2000 flex OS, SDPC 204/222 .550/.570 112 cam, LS9 springs, Circle D 12" 2600 converter, SE 1 3/4 headers w/ ORY into Gibson exhaust. It definitely felt lazier down low until I gave it more tip in/part throttle timing. Now it feels pretty good down low and still pulls with traffic in the 18-2000rpm range. It made 239/269 old stock motor with E fans and E85, then 311/315 with new setup. This was on a Mustang dyno in second gear pulling 92kpa with stock air box. I made Made a 4" CAI and it went up to 97-98kpa so it picked up some power. Going to dyno it again but based on HPt it looks to have picked up about 20hp/20tq.

Seems to go right along with what I mentioned a few posts ago. Correctly tuning for the change(s) will yield the best results.

What is the corvette filter/regulator? I'm currently building an LQ9 and have an 07-08 TBSS instake. My truck 03 2500 and is fly by wire also.
I've seen this filter/regulator mentioned before. Is there a part number for it?
Thanks
jeff

if your truck had return line from manifold u switch to TBSS has no return or regulator you get a corvette style filter regulator 1 line to motor 2 lines out to tank

Thanks for the info. So, This will replace the fuel filter on the frame rail. Do I need a new line from the tank(return) to this regulator/filter? Is there a part number/year I should look for this?

The 92mm stuff tunes rather easy imo. I used a Jegs 92mm and it behaves 90% like the factory 78.

As mentioned above the Vette filter/regulator is required for older return style fuel system. I remote mounted mine up by the IM so the factory fuel lines plugged right in. I would recommend finding a OEM unit if possible. I tried a 40.00 unit and it leaked. Could be my luck.

Fast355, yes I agree. Anybody that said they lost low end from this Manifold likely needs correct tuning. My particular combo likes 30-32degrees timing tip-in/part throttle. I tried more and it didn't feel any stronger/responsive.

Thanks. You can run it with stock converter. I just grabbed the Circle D because I found it brand new for 500.00. I called circle D and they said it would be perfect and can still tow with it. Trans fluid temps don't run any higher then the stock converter. Drives pretty similar to a 2500HD truck. That cam makes good power everywhere and carries well. You can make it idle smoother if you want. I kind of like it loping a little.
