Default 2000 C5 Corvette Catch Can PCV System

I will try to make a long story short, lol. My local mechanic did some work on my car and things are not as they were before I gave the car to him. When I switch from the LS1 throttle body, to the LS2 we ran the fresh air on the front on the valve cover to 3/8 hose up to a little filter toward the front of the car. I had him throw on a catch can with some other work he was doing and I believe he did it wrong. The way he did the catch can originally was the fresh air filter connected in to the catch can then the other fitting on the catch can went to the fresh air (front of passenger side valve cover). From what I read this is not how you do it. This is how it was done. Not sure this would do a thing?

So I have it connected like this, which is how what the Elite Catch Can Instructions say
I think this is correct??? BTW the PCV off the catch can is 4" above the pulley. In the picture it looks like it might rub. No chance:0)

Then I got to looking at the rest of the PCV system.... Now mind you I put on a brand new PCV Tubing/Hoses as from factory on the car 6 months ago. For some reason he modified it. Now the Drivers sides rear is capped.

I thought what in the world so I took a look at the other side! He ran my PCV valve and the Passengers side rear through this. Then he capped it? Why did we eliminate the line that would run to my drivers side rear???? So confused

I am guessing this recirculates?? Has anyone done this or seen anything like it. Why in the world would he do this to my new PCV? In other news, I am going to tap into the blue coupler to connect to the fresh air on the passengers side front (fresh air). Either that I am going to run a vented oil cap? Please help, I am so confused!!!
