Question

Valve covers...Orientation???

Any reason why I couldn't swap my 5.3 Vortec valve covers over so that the filler is on the rear of the drivers side head instead of at the front of passenger side head?

I have both clearance issues with the filler cap and also the PCV routing is neater if I swap the valve covers over.

I can't see any reason why the valve covers cannot be swapped but maybe somebody on here might know a reason why not to.

Filler cap makes no difference, but it is preferable to have PCV fittings at front of engine so oil doesn't collect on the ports during acceleration.
