LS1 Powermaster Starter Shimming So i just bought a new powermaster starter for my camaro. I read the instructions about the procedure on how to measure to see if you need to shim your starter, however with the LS1 and possibly every LS, can't seem to have enough room to actually measure the clearance. There is no way to get up in there even after taking off the plastic cover. Do i just install it without shims and crank to hear what it sounds like, and if i don't hear anything odd call it good?
