Default Aptiv (Delphi) connector for Coolant Temperature Sensor

Is this the right connector to plug in to the GM 2134333 Coolant Temperature Sensor?

Amazon Amazon

Our coolant temp sensor cracked, and the harness connector and the part of the sensor that it latches to fell down on the header pipe and melted. Needless to say it isn't running good this way. I've got a new genuine GM sensor on the way. I'd rather just trim the ends of the wires and install a new connector, rather than splicing on a new "pigtail." I have all the correct crimp tools, and I'm pretty sure I even have some of the Delphi/Aptiv 150.2 "pull to seat" terminals already. I really just need the mating connector piece for the sensor. That one looks right to me, but I was hoping for confirmation.

If it matters, this is a LM7 engine, factory heads, from a 2001 pickup truck or suburban. The same sensor was used on a lot of Gen III, Gen IV, and even Gen V engines from the late 1990s up through 2020 at least.

Why not go to the local pre-owned parts emporium (aka junkyard) and get the correct connector cheep?

The nearest "You pull it" type yards are about 50 miles away. And this isn't so expensive to get the right parts and repair it "done right."

The trucks in question didn't wreck because the temp sensor went out.
This will get you on the road again, and you can always get a new sender if it makes you feel better

I don't know about the original Metri-Pack 150.2 pull-to-seat connector but you can service replace with GT150 Mini style connector, terminals, and seals. This is the same way many new harnesses are made these days (the MP 150.2 fell out of favor a while ago).

See post #3, https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/ltx-...lectrical.html

The crimp on the GT150 is just a little smaller than a comparable Metri-Pack. Don't be surprised if you have to crimp once, and then move to the next smaller crimp jaw and give it a little extra love tap to finish the crimp.

I'm pretty sure that metri-pack 150.2 connector is correct for the OEM connector. I did similar research when I was about to replace mine and landed at the same style number. I didn't end up getting it since I discovered I just had to bend one of the internal prongs down to make better constant contact with the male end at the temp sensor and that fixed my temp sensor issue.

Yes, that is correct, but the GT150 Mini is preferred replacement and will plug right in to the sensor. The link I provided below has part numbers for shrouded (hooded) and un-shrouded versions, and all the related bits and bobbles needed to complete it.
