Timing Chain Cover
Timing Chain Cover Doing cam/lifters/lifter trays/valve springs and pushrods on 99 4.8 before putting in 69 Pontiac. Wondering what I should do with timing cover ?
1) Paint it Pontiac blue like block
2) Powder coat black wrinkle finish
3) Powder coat anodized finish black
4) Leave it as it is
Open to any other suggestions.

What are doing with the rest of of engine color wise? I think I would paint it. The powder coat/anodize shop is going to nick you price wise for a single piece. The company I used to work for company that has a big powder/anodize shop. Mininium charge is $100 for non-employees.
Painting engine Pontiac blue. Have a bracket for ps pump and alternator that is being powder coated black anodized finish.

If it was me, I'd make it different from the castings... aluminum or something maybe, maybe with clear coat over it
Nothing looks LAZIER to me than everything all the same color. Especially when it includes the bolt heads. Makes a project look like a "krylon rebuild".
