Default Cut Out Options

What are the go to electric cut outs these days? In the earlier years it was DMH and QTP, has anything changed in recent times that’s a better option? Vacuum looks interesting however I’d probably need to add a pump for correct operation.

There are a lot of cheap ebay/ Amazon cutouts but they all rattle eventually shortly after install.

The only 2 that I have not have turn into a rattling pile of **** is Race Land and my current 4" QTP

That’s why I was wondering, lots of different kinds now that look like junk. Even the QTPs back some time ago had issues and I’m aware of that.

Im looking too. QTP back in the day was terrible. All I heard about was motors falling off of them. Have they improved things over the years? Do they leak when closed or is that something that comes with all e-cutouts?

I definitely remember all of those issues. They are still around some 20 years later so they must be doing something right. I’m still in the air on this however I am currently going through the process of installing a new system and would like to decide soon. I have a lot of options to choose from catback wise on hand and this might steer my decision one way or another.

As far as motors falling off, all you have to do is remove two bolts and lock tite them in. I have never had a motor fall off any of them.
