Hello everyone, I'm doing a ls swap and planning to make some power steering lines. I'll be using high-pressure PTFE lines up to 3000psi working pressure. The problem that I have, is that I don't know what the thread is so that I could purchase an adapter to an -6. The power steering pump is designed to work with Camaro, Pontiac, Firebird 1998-2002. Ill post a picture of the power steering pump. The size thread that I need is where the yellow plug is.
Found it already. For anyone that will need it in the future it’s m16x1.5 . I screwed in my oil pressure sender into the thread and it went in just fine. Here is a link to the adapter that allows to run a an-6 line .
FWIW,, Parker makes all stainless fittings, with their industrial hose that is specifically for HP hydraulic use.
Its a braided stainless hose with a heavy black cloth like cover. The fittings are DIY assembly with the hose.
The fittings are $$$$$ but they are very strong and perfect for steering or transmission cooler applications since its a
hydraulic fuid specific design. (You would still need an occasional adapter or special fitting for the Saginaw of the fittings that fit the cooler loop in a radiator.
