Plz help! New Header does not fit- driver side only
Has anyone had this issue? New set of headers- car is bone stock and low miles, trans and engine mounts are good. The collector is too high and cat will not fit there.. collector is 1" from bottom of the car. I also removed the heat shield there and still, not enough clearance.
other side fits great and will stay installed.
edit: i sure do appreciate all the feedback! I do believe I found the info I was seeking.

3 sets of TSP's did that exact thing on my car. Angle was upwards so much at the collector that nothing would slide together. They said my car was wrecked. I had to switch brands and oddly enough the new brand fit perfectly.

Have you shown the pics to whoever made the headers? Can you return them? You could also alter the angle slightly, but you'll need to cut it, mark it, and weld it, or have someone weld it for you - been there.
Are you planning to weld it or clamp it? I'd loosen the header bolts up enough to give it a little play and then either put the clamps on or weld it and then tighten the header bolts back up. I guess I'm a little different then some of you but I'd definitely make that work

nah I haven't shown pics yet but they dod take the header back and will compare with one they have. Hopefully get sent back a good one!

They did suggest I try new engine mounts which I did. Tried with new rubbers and Prothane poly's (which are still in now). Both types of new mount made it even worse!
