Default LQ4/4L80 Flexplate Question.

New to forum so please forgive me if this isn’t posted in correct place. I recently purchased a reman LQ4 for my 01 sierra 2500 from JEGS/ATK. It appears to have the long crankshaft installed in it. What flex plate and hardware would I need to make this work or should I just return it and get the correct engine.

I believe I'd return it, especially if I had the time to wait.

Use a normal flat 4l80 flexplate, they typically come with a spacer that's used on the "shorter" crankshaft that you won't need. Just make sure your converter has a short pilot and you'll be fine. This is what I did with a long crank lq4 backed by a 4l60, just had a converter built with 4l80 bolt pattern and shorter pilot.

I'd say post a pic but given the guy hasn't been back here since June 3rd, it's not a pressing issue...
