I’m throwing a lq9 with 823 heads in a 1996 bronco. 4l80 trans and np261hd transfer case.
There isn’t much documentation on this kind of swap. I posted here for a reason and not in the swap section. The few swaps I’ve seen like this, the guys are running speed engineering c10 ls swap shorties. There’s a disclaimer about having to shave the ears on the 4l80. That seems simple enough but are there any other options?
Basically you're asking, what headers fit a Bronco chassis.
You won't find much expertise on that on a Chevy engine forum. We'd love to be able to help, butt ........
A Bronco forum is more likely to have somebody on it that has done what you're doing and can help you. performancetrucks.net for example.
Thanks. The only examples I’ve found are guys running 4l60/ which are small than the 4l80. They run the speed engineering shorties but you have to trim the ears on a 4l80. Another guy made custom long tubes. Another guy did a twin turbo. So this is uncharted territory for everyone.
I was eyeing the hooker black heart manifolds. Any comment on how far back those go? I don’t need something too long.
One thing I would measure is distance from inside of chassis across to help better determine how some car or truck headers may fit given space. You definitely want long tubes.

I put on Doug Thorley tri-Flow midlenth headers on my lawn mower, but then my truck which worked better.
Nice thing about them is they tuk-up where the OE pipes are so you do not lose ground clearance. I think Summit might have them but you have to call and check.
