Default Block plate needed??

So I put a 4l80 behind my l33 and don’t have an engine block plate. The converter gap was right on and everything appears good. Worth finding one and pulling it all apart?

Okay that’s how I did and I’d like I said everything looked right. I was just thinking about it when I swapped the 5.0 in myf150 it had one.
Just figured I’d ask before I pulled it apart for no reason.

Jeeeeez... how weird and stuuuupid.... I figured out that "gas" was just a fat-finger thing, but the whole "plate" deal was a complete mystery to me as well. Sorry your mind got so messed up by Frod products.

No, this is a Chevy motor and transmission. The 2 departments apparently had access to each others' drawings folders on the server so they could LOOK AT what each other was doing and design stuff that FIT together. No "adapter" plates needed. Stuff mostly just BOLTS UP. I guess it's a blessing of sorts.
