Bigger throttle body with adapter plate concerns
So I have an 01 z28 with the ls6 intake. I was given a 102mm throttle body but I believe it’s designed for the ls2 as it is a 4 bolt pattern and quite wide. Seems like the only way I could use it is if I got an adapter plate which sizes down the opening to go through the stock area. It seems to me like using a bigger throttle body that has to get funneled down would kind of defeat the purpose of using the larger one. It is a speed master 102mm. Just wanted to get some thoughts on the idea.

...........Consider: If it all funnels down through a 2 inch Inlet valve, it's not going to gain anything except TUNING Practice.

I pretty much figured it wasn’t really worth it but was curious to get some feedback. I got the speedmaster for free and it seems to be a fairly nice name brand throttle body. When I looked at how the adapter funnels the opening size down to make it fit it seemed pretty pointless to consider.
