LQ4 low oil pressure
Fresh build, 6.0 lq4, ls3 heads, vs 85/102 turbo, big 264 cam.
Oil pressure was good on first start. 44psi idle, went up to 50ish with small rev.
Took it out for first drive and noticed oil pressure had dropped to between 10 and 20 when I got back. Plugged the turbo feed line and saw 40psi cold at idle. Could this be a flow or too low pressure oil pump? Replaced with OEM GM pump and same issue.
when you saw the drop to indicated 10 PSI was that HOT, with break-in oil ?
Possible that you have a lot of fuel dilution from initial tune ?
How big ( inside diameter) is oil feed line to turbo ? I've heard reference to using oil feed restrictors in Turbo feed ..

We are using a journal bearing turbo and from what I have read they dont need a restrictor. Motor is coming out this weekend to drop the pan. Its in a 87 GN with solid non-removable cross member
