I purchased the Holly LS Steam Vent Kit part # 26-550
I need to add another fitting to the end.
Does anyone know which hose & fitting is used in the kit?
Thanks
Those look like #4 to me. Just as the ad says, and like everybody else's pretty much are too.
As far as which series, I'm not familiar enough with the names Earl's gives their product lines, to tell you that. Looks like one of the push-on plain rubber types, which don't peel my banana, anyway; not braided stainless obviously, and not "crimp" anything. Doesn't seem like it'd be too hard to look at their web site, or Summit or Jeg's, and match what you see there up to what's in the kit, if you just need to replace one part or something like that.
Once you have those little blocks that bolt onto the engine with the AN fitting adapted into it, you can use anybody's fittings and line to hook it up if you need to rework it more extensively. I'd recommend using better line than that, personally. Not that it's not "probably good enough", just, if I was buying stuff, I'd get something that's FOR SURE gonna last a lifetime. PTFE line specifically.
I did reach out to Summit, & the tech guy basically said the same as the ad.
Then I followed up with Holly, the tech I spoke to give me the type of hose, but based on that, it seems the kit would not have the correct fitting and missing clamps.
I'm looking into other hose options.
Thank for the feedback .
So because I'm cheap I tend to piece stuff together as needed. LOL.
In regards to the steam line I use a LS steam line cross over with the output nipple is on the right side of the engine. But I cut off the the nipple and drill and tap for 1/8" NPT. Then using -3 AN fittings connect to a typical? -3 SS brake line to a NPT bung I have welded to the radiator. We have a local dirt track parts guy that I get my PTFE line from if the length isn't quite right you can disasemble the ends and shorten as needed.
Couple of pics of my current 80 project.
