When I went from 3.42s to 4.10s, my car was a completely different animal. It made a huge difference in how it drove, and dropped about .5 second 0-60. Quarter mile times improved as well. It also made the overdrive gears useful for something other than the freeway. Doing that and long tube headers will likely be your biggest bang for the buck. An LS6 intake is nice, but it only will add about 10-15 HP at most. LT's will add around 30, at least.

OP,

Thank you for sharing the details of your Camaro’s setup and driving goals! It’s great to see how you’ve adapted it to the unique challenges of UK roads. Narrow, twisty surfaces require a balance of performance and handling, and it’s clear your mods are making a difference. Your Camaro must surprise quite a few people over there!

Switching to 4.10 gears is a fantastic move for making the car more responsive in the rev range and adding to the fun factor. Your car should have 3:42 gears in it from the factory. 4:10's will certainly address the low-rev and gear change concerns you mentioned. The FAST intake is an excellent choice for improving mid-range and top-end performance, especially with your planned long-tube headers. If you find an LS6 intake at a reasonable price, it’s a great option, but the FAST intake offers even better airflow and performance gains. Don’t overlook tuning—it can make a huge difference, especially after adding the intake and long-tube headers. A proper tune will optimize your setup and unlock the full potential of your upgrades.

Looking ahead, a cam or cam-and-heads upgrade will complement your setup nicely, especially with your focus on drivability and enjoyment over raw horsepower. It sounds like you’re well on your way to building a Camaro that truly shines on those tight, challenging roads.

Thanks again for sharing the details and picture of your Camaro. Feel free to reach out if you’d like further guidance as you finalize your upgrades!
