Default Tuff Stuff vs. Chevy/GM Waterpumps

I am rebuilding my LS1 and I will be replacing the water pump, I was looking at the Tuff Stuff and the Chevy performance pumps. The Tuff Stuff is $225 and the Chevy performance is the same price, the stock GM is about $70 less. My question is the GM pump equal or is the extra money worth it

You want to buy the made in mexico ac delco pump. It will be the more expensive out of the two delco options.

The expensive Delco pump is made in Mexico and Tuff Stuff is made in the US. I have used Tuff Stuff in the past with power steering pumps and alternators, and I haven't had issues with anything. I just purchased one of their water pumps for the GTO. I don't have any reason to believe that it will be any different.

I know it's a few months later, but any reason why? Gathering parts for a heads/cam swap.

The Mexico made pump is a lot better quality than the China made unit. I have seen plenty of the China made pumps blow out the back plate and just seize up.
