The knock sensors are just threaded into the block...nothing to plug

LS's have two knock sensors under the intake. Later LS's they were moved to the outside of the block. One on each side of the block.
If you have an early LS you can buy a valley plate that doesn't have the holes for the knock sensors.

Maybe a better question would be: Why do you want to delete the knock sensors?

I know I wouldn't delete or tune them out. They could save your engine if you get a junk gas fill up. I know on some of the older TPI and maybe earlier LS engines guys would put a toggle switch somewhere close by and turn them off after a couple of minutes. Apparently, the PCM only looks for them to be active on startup. After a minute or two it stops looking. In layman terms, this procedure will prevent an MIL if you turn them off after a couple of minutes, and you wont need to tune them out. Research this, because it has been awhile since I read that article/post. I may be wrong. But again, I wouldn't mess with deleting them regardless.....

There seems to be a real problem with getting quality knock sensors for this application. The GM/Delco stuff is no longer the gold standard here, as some folks have actually had better luck with the AutoZone brand. But either way it's hit-or-miss and often they will throw codes right out of the box, and that's a real pain for a sensor that's under the intake like the Gen III.

I wouldn't delete it if I had good working sensors, but it's useless anyway if you can't get one that works correctly. I don't really see a huge problem with deleting them unless you have a tune/setup that's on the ragged edge. For something stock/near stock, I wouldn't really worry about it. My dinosaur SBC & SBO engines haven't had knock sensors in the 50+ years they have been operational, and they are just fine.
