Purchased a TBSS intake and it came with the original throttle body to it(I was told it was original). The throttle body part number is 12580760. Can anybody tell me what throttle body this is as well as its current size? I dont have it in my possession yet and was looking for any insight on this set up as I plan to throw it on my LQ9 swapped silverado truck build. Please let me know, thanks!

 

Finally got the intake and throttle body in my possession. Are there any benefits to porting the bottom lip of the throttle body and opening it up a little bit?

 

any advice on porting the bottom lip off of the throttle body? waste of time?

 

People have ported the intake but i don't think anyone has ported the stock throttlebody.

 

I am assuming that lip is there for a certain reason, im not sure if it diverts the air in a specific way but I am sure it had a purpose I didnt know if anybody had experimented with this before or not and what the outcome was
