While fixing some issues I found oil in the intake. I have an ls1 and had been running a ls6 valley cover with no external PCV or catch can. Based on the oil, I am adding both back in. I have been searching and searching and found many diagrams that seem to contradict each other (maybe I am misreading). Is it me or do the following two diagrams/pics showing very different routing? Can someone let me know the correct routing? Thanks!
The old " Road Draft Tube " will draw MORE volume of air, vapor and contaminants out of your crankcase than a legitimate PCV system. 1/2" open hose from rocker cover down to a position at bottom of frame rail in slipstream is VERY effective at cruise speeds, and even more effective at high speed and actually functions under boost, or NA with ZERO vacuum under acceleration conditions, where a normal PCV system bulds crankcase pressure,and/or dumps OIL vapor into intake manifold.
