Default FAST Intake for LS2

Hey guys, I came across a FAST intake for cathedral heads. My LS2 has the Comp Cam XR265HR 212/218 with .558.562 115 LSA rated for about 1400 to 6000 rpm (there abouts). I'm running 1-7/8" speed engineering headers with 2-1/2" pipes all the way to the rear. Gears are 3.42 with T56 trans, 2.97:1 first gear. I'm running stock fuel injectors. ECM is tuned with current setup in place. This is an LS swapped engine from an 05 vette into a 79 Camaro. Asking what kind of gains could I expect with a FAST intake over the stock LS2 one? Also, my tuner tuned this vehicle on the road. Is has not been on a dyno. Approximately how much RWH should I have here? This thing pulls really strong!

I'd guess 10 hp with a mild cam like you have.

I've read some things on different sites that seem to indicate that the stock LS2 intake is a downgrade from the LS1 or LS6. Something about the way it's manufactured and the seams disrupting air flow. Any comments on that?

LS1 Intake is the worst out there, followed closely by the LS2. LS6 is a decent improvement above them both. That info has been out for 15 years or so.

The F.A.S.T. Intakes are above the LS6 Intake depending on what one you want to dump a ton of money into. That small Cam will yield small gains for money spent.

The 102 is not worth the headaches for the gains. Stick with the LS2

What headaches? It is a direct bolt-on swap. No downsides other than cost.

If it fits in the camaro its being swapped in, then so be it. My C5 required clearance everywhere (lower engine mounts, grind the water pump, re-route hoses, etc) and it only made like 6 more HP than the 90mm intake I had on. Its not worth the price tag at all.
