Kook's install help needed

i just took out my mac's and i was just getting an idea on how bad it will be to install my new 1 3/4 -1 7/8 Kook's in the morning. Anyway i tried the passenger side and the header went right up no problem {much easier then my mac's. Then to the drivers side and this side seems alittle more difficult. Please give me any trick on getting the drivers side to go in. And has anyone had problems with this. Thanks Shawn

With the driver's side, you have to come straight up and in and then rotate it as you pull back down and orient it in place. It took me a long time cause I found that I had to grind the K member a bit and then I had to take the oil drain plug out (yeah it actually hit it). Hope this heps. You have to be able to stand the header on the collector and go in from straight up and down. Then twist and maneuver it in place.

I would go ahead and pull the oil filter and drain plug while you are at it......makes it a ton easier.

I worked about 2 hrs by myself trying to get it in.....ended up having my dad maneuver it while I stood up top telling him which way to go. Had it in within 15 minutes with his help.

2 people make that side a lot easier.

Remove the oil filter and oil diverter, as stated go straight up then in. You'll need to get the car up high.

And is this ever true. If you are doing this on jackstands you better have some wood blocks handy or otherwise its not happening. I needed anoher 3 inches or so after the jackstands were maxed out.
