Default Question about my catalytic converter??

My car almost acts like it wants to die sometimes when i pull up to a stop light. It will drop below 500 rpm. It hasnt died on me yet or anything. I just changed the plugs and wires because i knew that they were done for. I put in NGK TR 55 and MSD 8.5 mm plug wires. Hoping that would cure my problem. Which it didnt. So i was wondering if the catalytic converter could be causing so problems with idling.

Is the SES light on? I would suspect an IAC problem or something along those lines as the cause.
