Default LQ9 coil packs better?

I have access to a set of '04 LQ9 (AWD Escalade motor) coil packs. Are these coils "hotter" and/or better than the stock '02 LS1 packs? If so, in what ways? I am not concerned about filment, got that covered. I did a search but no good hits. Thanks in advance.

it's been debated. Most will say they aren't different enough to swap them out unless your doing it for other than performance reasons.

The (Melco) truck coils are hotter than the ls1 coils. If you make over 500rwhp you might want to play with them otherwise don't. They fit on our stock covers as long as you use the truck coil trays too. You have to use truck plug wires though since the coils sit higher. I swapped on mine in 5 minutes.
