Best Cut out...? Anyone had problems with there QTP?
Just looking for some positive or negitive info on a cutout. I want to order one up soon. Was going to go with the QTP, but heared some storys of them being stuck open....? Just checking it on....Thanks for any input!
i've had my q-tec for two years and i have NEVER had one problem with it. it does'nt leak and has always worked great from day one. i can only speak for my self, but;i love this damn thing.
I use a Qtec and I'm happy with it.
I replaced the switch because I didn't like the stocker. I now use a convertible top switch instead.
The quick disconnect on the wire failed so I replaced that.Soldered and shrink wrapped. I will eventually switch to a packard/GM weatherpack connector.
It leaks a bit so I used some RTV where the butterfly meets up with the AL baseplate.Still leaks some but I can deal with it.
All in all it's not perfect but I think it's the best set-up out there.
BTW: the flowtech cut-out is garbage as far as quality goes. If you can make the cut-out yourself and use the QTEC w/that you'd be better off.

I've had the Street Pro for about 2 months. Absolutely PERFECT! Very nicely built, very reliable, very quick, and has excellent ground clearance. Plus customer service is great and they have a very good warranty.
