I just took my time.

That claim flys about as well as "Buying ARP Head studs is a waste of money, i can buy stock GM head bolts for $200 less"

Since this thread has become pointless because we gave some valid reasons on why they were useful to "SOME" people, but rather than say "ok i see why some would use them, but they dont serve my application, so stock bolts will work for me, you randomly spout.

Soooooooo How about you just meet me halfway, bring $5000 cash and we will race my "ARP Header Studded car" vs "any LS1 powered vehicle in this green earth that you can get behind the wheel of" And we will have a "ARP STUD VS JUNK BOLT" shootout race on the street.

p.s. my junk hooks on ice, and can play with any 8 second ls1 in this country on the street.
hows that sound?

Sounds like crap to me. I think you were on the right path when you were talking about the ice because that's the only way you'd keep up with an 8-second car.

Me too.

I ordered stainless ARP studs. They are expensive but they are top of the line.

Fastener failure can cost you alot more than the $90 I paid for mine.

I guess you guys can be content with whatever you want to spend your money on, but you fail to realize that you also could have bought a complete stud and nut set on your own for well under 20 dollars. I guess those bolts haven't been touched by God like the arp ones, though.

Considering 99% of the community on here is totally fine using the stock bolts for holding some metal pipes to their exhaust ports, I'd think $10 studs from a bolt shop will be fine. Thats what I got (although later removed the studs, as they were more hassle than bolts on my car with my headers).

There's a time and place for ARP stuff for me...head bolts for some engine combos for sure...but header bolts? Nah. Not for me.

I was talking about header bolts.. but you keep on talking about HEAD bolts (two different things buddy), and then call me out to race your "ARP HEADER STUDDED CAR", to your "junk hooking on ice"? Since when do header bolts help with traction?

Are you claiming ARP studs now add horsepower?? WOW maybe I should reconsider b/c you claim to run 8's and have something to prove. Is that how you are gonna justify your idiotic comments?

Hahaha.... geez people these days...have no idea what they are getting themselved into. Every street racer goes to the track right?? right....

Id rather hear

1) "wow what a good reason to setup a race, i will sack up and donate $$$ rather than argue about header bolts"

2) "Im going to make excuses about everthing and try and claim "Rice".

I was just hoping I could just get a race, I think every thread/topic should result in someone sacking up and getting saw'ed off on the street. Lol..ive seen many a 8 second car get chopped off on the street by "slow cars"
