Default keep melting spark plug wires..

i have pace setter long tubes uncoated.. i had a set of msd plug wires on for about 4 months and started getting misfires.. it was the very back spark plug wire the one thats a pain to get to.. #8

i got a new set of taylor plugs.. and its the same plug wire.. the back two on that side get really charred and this set has only been on for about 3 week.. i've had 2 trips to the track and several runs in that time though it just started misfiring again.

anyone else had this problem w/ melting plug wires? found a solution?

I don’t put many miles on my car, but I haven’t had any trouble with my MSD wires and KooKs.

The only thing I could suggest is some heat shield wrapping for those wires that frequently burn.

We have several mustangs around the shop that have had this problem in the past. The hi-temp plug boots cured it right up. Try those.

Accel has some ceramic impregnated plug boots on their 9000 series wires for our cars
that seems to work also. They say they are good to 2000 degrees.
