Question Where to put torque strap...

I was running a torque strap off of the alt. bracket and it eventually saw threw it. This was after like two months. Is there a better way to do this? I want to use a wratcheting nylon style strap.
Thanks.

Oh, I did a search and all the links are so old that they don't work anymore. And I tried the explanations, but I mmust be missing something. So if I could get a pic, I would greatly appreciate it.

hmm.. if it's "sawing" though.. you didn't have it tight enough

I hook mine in the lower altenator bolt and the hole in the bottom of the k-member. With the tublar K, I hook it in a simular fashion.
