Doing a intake swap from the LS1 intake the LS6 where do the bypass plugs go, and where does the bypass tube run. In the back or the front? Is there a picture or a faq on line someplace that shows pictures of how the new LS6 lines run. I have been following the www.ls1howto.com and don't get a clear picture yet.


AND HOW do you get that damn coolant out of the head bolt holes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????

Don't know the answer to you question, but did you only buy these items?
1x 2001+ front coolant pipe - #12568478
- 2x 2001+ rear coolant plugs - #12562788

I thought there was some kind of kit out there for around $25??

This is what I ordered from TSP.
Front Coolant Pipe and Rear Coolant Plugs for LS6 Intake Manifold
Yes I got one GM coolant bypass line and two plugs, which end of the heads do the plugs go front or back?

I got a new modified LS1 TB with out the coolant passages in it so that is where I am confused maybe. Just need to see a picture or a real good explanation of the LS6 Coolant lines to see what I need to do.

the two plugs go on the rear, the coolant pipe goes on the front. if your TB doesnt have the coolant passages then due the coolant bypass mod.

Thanks for the info. Didn't know you had to toss the whole coolant pipes under the intake. We are good to go now.
