Coolant sensor in Driverside head?
What is the sensor that's located at the front of the Driverside head? Is that the coolant sensor? Apparently mine has a short in it. My Temp gauge will drop to zero while driving and the car will attempt to stall/shut off.
Anyone ever replace this sensor? I'm assuming that it'll just un-thread from the head and I'll just splice the new one into the existing wiring?

It's an easy swap. Just unplug the connector, unscrew the old one, put a little sealer on the threads of the new one, torque it in (it's easy to twist it too hard and break it... voice of experience here...), plug new connector in.

So, what happens if you do break it off? Cause I just did that this morning. Is it easy to remove the remaining part of the sensor out of the cylinder head?

I broke the gold piece that sticks into the head. I did it while torquing it down. I actually over torqued it thinking I needed to.
Is that the brass portion you are talking about?

See if an extractor will fit in there. You might have to drill a hole in the remaining piece of the sensor to get it started. Hopefully there isn't any shrapnel in there.
Use a smaller ratchet when you install the new sensor
