The x pipe will do more than you think, but i had a buddy that was in jail for staight headers the other night. Its fun to do, but i would do cut outs(for the fun times) and muffler. In other words, loud as hell!

I'd at least put some bullet mufflers in there. For those who havn't found out for themselves, though, the X-pipe really does cut down on the volume compared to a Y-pipe. My longtubes, X-pipe, no cats, bullet mufflers is barely louder than the loudmouth on stock manifolds and cats that I had before. It sounds 5445454681 times better but by pure volume it's pretty close.

if you aren't going to run mufflers why would you want to bother putting cutouts in there? it would really serve no purpose. but if you feel it necessary for the cut outs put them just off the header collectors.

Depends if it has mufflers or not.

LT's + X-pipe = somewhat loud
LT's + X-pipe + cut outs (after header collector, open) = obnoxiously loud
LT's + X-pipe + bullet mufflers = sweet harmony!

Speaking from experience, I would say just forget about the open headers or cutouts with a dual system. I ran open headers for about 4 months, partly because I was raising money to buy the TSP rumbler and partly because I didnt want to cap off that beautiful noise. This past week I finally got my Xpipe and it is amazing... all of the deep powerful rumble and a 1/10 of the interior resonance and absolutly none of the rasp. It sounds even MORE beautiful with this system than with open headers, trust me.

P.s. I love loud as hell stuff thats why I liked my open headers, but I was more than pleased to find out I lost none of the agressive ''roar'' with the Rumbler. I say just go duals with bullets, you will deffinatly be more than happy.

If you going to do a true dual set up with no mufflers why don't you just run 16" extensions off the end of the headers. Might cost you alittle torque down low but it pulls like crazy top end. And yes it will be much louder than you can imagine, I've been running open headers with extensions and it gets old fast.

BTW: A true dual set up with 2 bullets dumping at the axel will sound very nice (and be loud). And if you use band clamps it will take 5 mintues to take off so you can run open headers at the track.

oh yeah, like GM muscle said, it does get old fast, it vibrates alot when your running no headers, no one ever wants to ride with you either .

TSP comes with 18 inch bullets. I ran open headers for about 2 weeks, and just could not hear the same again. Its great. You will like the TSP very much
