Wow, excelent job on that. I probably could have fixed something like that but you better believe it wouldn't look ¼ as awsome as that.

Thanks. It was when I had my broken hand/wrist. I was out of work and had an engine in the garage and nothing that I could do to it, so I spent a lot of time on the intake

No real process per say. I soaked it in my solvent tank for several days with water soluble cleaners, to cut the grease from the intake. I then rinsed it out water and dried it and started on the repair, sanding between each layer (with only one good hand )

I originally spray painted my LS1 intake with intentions of using that at first. I liked how it looked with the red LS1 logo on the first runner, so I decided to do the same with the LS6 intake. I never got around to spraying the "LS6" on it as I was debating between that and "396". I figured I could have painted the repaired area black, but since I alread had the High temp aluminum paint that I used on the LS1 intake and on my Spindles, I figured I would just paint it Aluminum in color.

I washed the exterior dried it and sprayed it the next day. I didn't sand it, but I guess I still could if the winner is willing to wait an extra day or two.
