The best sounding exhaust on an LS1 doesn't sound as good as 3/4's of the LT1 exhausts. LT1 is for sound quality.

GMMG is one of my favorites through a cat-less y.

So let me get this straight.....

40 series single in/dual out = 3 chamber that has the tin-can like sound, like my old '92 had

80 series single in/dual out = 2 chamber that has the deep rumble that the LT1 I heard has?

I know mine probably won't sound AS good as the LT1 did, but it should be fairly close, I hope

If you want deep check out Blaster's Edelbrock 304SS mufflers. I like the sound of the Flowmaster, but these suckers are bad *** IMO on duals.

That does sound badass. Only problem is I was hoping to stay away from true duals, since I don't want to pay the extra to have them coming out the back

Ive got a flowmaster on my car, came with the car. It sounds pretty good. Sometimes I wish it were louder though. Ive gotten some complements on the sound and Ive had people tell me that it is pretty loud but when I get around other f bodies its way to quiet in comparison

That's what I'm aiming for. I don't want it to be TOO loud at all coming out the muffler. I just want a nice deep rumble to it. When I want to be obnixous, that's when the cutouts open up

I like my Hooker. (man that just sounds wrong) It's mellow at idle and part throttle, but when you stand on it, it sings.

I have had both Flowmasters and true duals. There is no way I would go back to that system. Flowmaster has a ok rumble with the stock mans. and cats. But, I can never get away from that true dual sound!

I honestly don't see why everyone hates the sound of it.
Most people just hate the flow of it, most people agree it sounds good.

With all the talk of being restrictive, I have yet to see anybody poste any proof.
People have posted proof of it being more restrictive than a stock exhuast. How much more proof do you need?

(also, how sad does it have to be to be compared to the STOCK exhaust, granted our exhuast is pretty good, the there is still about 10 hp to be found in a cat back).

Sounds Bad-*** though. I thought about it since I got the cat-back for sound, but honestly, magnaflow sounds better

Better in what way? Louder? Deeper? Meaner?

My Magnaflow doesn't sound as good as a flowmaster IMO. Especially at idle.

WOT I'd say they're about even.
