Default Inside if you have Poly Engine Mounts

Looking for feedback on how you like them.

Did cabin vibration and noise increase or decrease?

Any reason why you would not get them again?

I did not notice a increase in vibration ( I did only install the driver side though ). Kept the engine from moving alot with the lope I had.

No reason for me to not do them again

I installed both sides to get rid of the Y-pipe bang under hard acceleration. They definitely hold the engine secure. With the 224 cam the engine was moving all over the place. Now the engine stays put. I thought there was some increase in vibration in the cabin, but I also put in a trans mount as well.

I did get false knock which put me into the low octane table with these mounts. Mainly after I hit some rough roads. I went through a ton of troubleshooting and messing with the knock sensors to try and de-sensitize them to rough road conditions, but I wasn't able to get a good result. I did have one bad sensor that may have made the issue worse. I ended up just disableing them for now but I may have to go back to using them since I am puting a blower on my car soon.

If it weren't for the false knock I would say they were a great mod. Dealing with the knock put them into the mediocre pile for me.

I did the drivers side. Daily driven car. A very MINOR amount of vibration but no where near enough to call a bad thing.

Noise did not increase. Vehicle shake at idle did,
every motor jerk that used to just roll it on the
rubber before, now rolls the body instead. But
not a biggie, I've quit noticing it. I have poly on
both sides.

Interesting. I was thinking it might cut down some of the shake at idle. I thought I had noticed reduced shake at idle in other cars that them.

JB: Come on down to Bethesda. You bring the car; I'll buy the beers

I did the driver side only and love it. No more y pipe bang. Expect to spin a little more if you do already. The ghetto engine strap wasn't getting the job done correctly. Highly recommended.

I've noticed alot of folks are running polyurethane on the driver's side only...am I correct in assuming that this is intended to be a blend of added control with a little less vibration transfer?

Mine stopped the shaking and y pipe banging I had with a G5x2 cam. The only complaint I have was the install which was a pain.

I have just the driver side cause i ran out of time during the header install, but there's almost no engine shake now and honestly i haven't noticed more vibration transmitted to the car. Get them.

I have both and I love them. No noise or abnormal vibrations. I have the X3 cam and the motor sits very still. Now, a poly trans mount I just did is a whole different story... itll viberate your teeth out

I did both motor mounts and a tranny mount. A little more vibration and noise, not bad though. I'd do em all again without hesitation. Motor mount were a pain to install. If your doing them yourself, I'd recommend buying a used stock set on ebay or at the dealership (I have a set if you're interested). Then drill out the rubber, paint them, then put in the poly mount. This way you can take your time and get them looking sweet, then you can just pull out the old one and slip in the new one (in theory). Trust me!

I also have them and they help make the car more streetable, no more engine shaking all around and I would actually say less vibration in the cabin.

most of the torque of the motor is put on the drivers side, the pass. side mount is not needed. it really does make the motor stop shaking and cure ypipe banging. great mod though a PITA to install.

Prothane. I've heard the energy suspension ones need to be shimmed or something.
