Default How to check if coil packs are bad, and where to get new ones (aftermarket?)

43,000 miles on car, new plugs and wires, seems to be running OK, but when do the coil packs usually go bad? Are there any better/"hotter" replacement ones on the market? Where to get factory ones cheap, or aftermarket ones...

Thanks

Not many people have had issues with the stock coils. Not really a need for a "hotter" setup. The stock GM stuff has been used on cars making over 600hp.

If you think you have a problem with one. Swap it's location with another one. If the problem follows, replace that one with a stock replacement.

The truck coils are suppose to be a little hotter, but like I said above, people are make good power with the stock stuff.
