Default Whisper Air Lid rubber seal?

I got this black thing that is supposed to make the whipser air lid "superior", well it wouldn't stay clamped to the air box assembly, so I was looking at the metal clamp that went around the black seal which held to the MAF housing and I think maybe the seal made the lid sit too far forward for it to clamp good, because it seems to be fine now that I clamped just the lid to the MAF? Anyone else find this? Whisper Lid is

I've got a seal on my TSP lid, it works better if you put the lid on, then put the seal up in the opening. At least for mine, but I don't plan on using my seal ever again.

If the lid is coming unclipped, you got it installed wrong

If you would like the lid to fit right. Make sure the front edge of the lid, between the clips, is in the groove in the lower air box.

I'm betting yours is currently in front of it

That "sure seal collar" has zero to do with the placement of the lid.
