test pipes anyone make test pipes for stock exhaust for a 2001 camaro ss? i was thinkin of gutting my cats, but i heard you actually loose power from that. any info would be apreciated.
Also known as "offroad tubes". Mufflex makes them, so
do others I believe, they cost a lot more than gutting.
My testing indicates the gutted stock cats fall between
offroad tubes (better) and Random Tech high-flow, large
body cats (worse). Stock cats were almost 2X the back
pressure of the OR tubes.
