Ditched the loudmouth Got the Borla xr-1 3" in and out 5" diameter 18" long. Guy who put it in had to pound the right rear passenger section in a little so it wouldnt bang, no problem since rear seats will never be in this thing again.
Sound difference? Amazing. It has a really low rumble at idle and talsk when you open it up. Zero rasp. The LM was just too raspy with no cats.
This is one of the best mods that I have done to the car.

Opinions please-
Im going to do the same, but i dont know if i should get some High Flow Random Tech Cats or just get the Borla XR-1 as a replacement for the loudmouth "resonator". Anyone with experience have a good solution? I like the old school muscle car sound.. deep rumble, throaty sound + Loud i just HATE RasP!

Verdad Gallardo Yeah the one at ls1sounds dont tell you much. Just a clip of a car idling. I might have a clip of a borlamouth with macs and ory on my old computer. I will look for it. It sounded a lil raspy but I think that was from the macs.

Thanks guys.. You made me change my mind last minute to get the XR-1 instead of Random Tech cats. If i still have RASP after the install of the XR-1 ... your all dead !

I'm getting my headers on friday and it will have a catted ypipe. Will the borla sound alot different then the loudmouth and will it make inside the car quieter? If I don't like the sound of the loudmouth I was thinking of the Borla XR1 or a sweet chamber.
