Okay, so bottom line: does ls6 intake need a tune?!?
2000WS6Vert lost 3 tenths and 3 mph after his ls6 intake install. Is this a normal result for the ls6 intake swap without tune? Because at FLP and Speed Inc, a tune is $500+ (!!!)
I am itching badly to finish my boltons, but I don't want to LOSE power!
I know that I would BENEFIT from a tune, but what I want to know is will I actually LOSE power until I get one?
So what's the final word?
Does the swap NEED a tune? I know I did it right, it's pretty hard to screw it up...it either fits or it doesn't. No big deal, I'll get my power back when I tune it.

Anyone else, feel free to chime in with your results and boost my confidence!
(Oh, and BTW, am I right in assuming a tune is going to cost me $500?)

I reset the PCM in the meantime....like black_knight said...maybe it was a fluke...but track numbers don't lie.
I encourage everyone to go ahead and do it. If you are serious about modding...it is an absolute MUST DO mod. Do I regret installing it? No way.
