Cleaning stainless headers?
I got out some metal polishing paste, and they started to clean up pretty good. It's going to take a lot of work to get them back to moderately shiny condition. I'm not really looking looking to clean them for looks, more for longevity.
My question is, should I even bother?
Aren't they going to crap up again after my first drive in the rain, nevermind the snow/salt this winter?
If I 'should' clean them:
Is there any reason why I can't take some steel wool to them to help clean up the easily viewed areas?
Should I just send them out to get chemically cleaned?
Thanks,

(particularly the chromium oxide). Unless it's for show
I would leave it be. Though you could probably polish
is every week for the rest of your life and not hurt
anything either. But removing the oxidation is not
going to help any, lifewise, so it's down to effort vs
appearance.
