If you look at a 6L water pump, this is the outlet and the front is smooth. It's offset slightly so as not to interfere with the throttle cable

If you look close behind the spark plug wire, you will see the braided line I described above.
Again, this is different than a stock "cover". What you see is an adaptor where I can take oil and send it to a cooler. See the 2 big AN fittings? The brass adaptor and the 90* AN fitting comes off where a Vette's oil temp sender would be.

Let me give credit, where credit is due ... I got this from Glenn98ZM6

He said that there may be a Soccer Mom protection that will kill the fuel pump if there is no oil pressure.
I am going to unplug my sensor and see if the car will run.

I have an electric oil temperature gauge that seems to work well. I drilled/tapped into the fitting above the oil filter.

Haha yeah it is but no more rediculous then a dummy gauge that is in the 2000 cluster.

My factory gauge reads approximately 10 psig higher than what my Autometer reads. I had a mechanical Autometer sitting around and hooked that up just to compare it to the electrical gauge, and they read the same.
At hot idle, my factory gauge reads a tick over 40 psig....my Autometer reads about 28 to 30 psig.

You put it in yourself?
